When I first started looking at making my long-range plans or just trying to figure out what I needed to teach. I treated the curriculum standards like a checklist.
This checklist led me to feel overwhelmed and always feeling like I was never going to get everything done.
I hated that feeling.
So I changed the way I looking at planning what I was going to teach when and I will never look back.
